Nationals- Day 4 Results- Better Late than Never !
In short we won nicely! Picked up the overall points score, a couple of relay trophies and Jennie won Female Swimmer of The Meet. This was how it ended up after the Presentation Night. Lucky there was a shopping trolley abandoned near the surf club to get the trophy haul home. (Sorry that the photo is grainy, but it is a true depiction of how some of the Pointers felt by that stage). To the SA Masters Swimming folk - thanks very much for holding a great meet. It was really well organised and friendly and we'll certainly all come again.

Upcoming Comps
The State Long Course meet will take place at MSAC on Saturday, 12 May, starting at 10am. Warm up 9-9.45. You can see the program and download the entry from the website for Masters Swimming Victoria on www.aussivic.com.au and follow the prompts for the state long course meet, then you will be able to download the form. Entries must be emailed to competition@powerpoints.org.au by 28 April at the latest. No late entries.
We will assume that you are willing to swim 2 relays unless you tell us otherwise. Please let us know the 50m times for the strokes you want to swim unless you swam at Nationals in which case we will know your times.
Please send/deposit money for your entry to Powerpoints MSC Inc, BSB 063 115, account number: 00901021 and add a tag with your name and LC. If your bank allows you to send an email to the recipient, put in treasurer@powerpoints.org.au as the contact.
Entries will all be acknowledged by 25 April so if you haven't heard by then, give Rosa a ring on 0425 736 494 to check that it has been received.
There will be drinks & food at a nearby pub afterwards so be prepared to party and swim!
In case you want more competition or want to have a go for the first time, there are a number of interclubs coming up. Interclubs are low key events with a get together over food afterwards. Entries to these are done individually directly to the club hosting the meet. You are often asked to do these on pink/blue cards - Brenton has some, so does Rosa. As a last resort, just send your entry in on a piece of paper with the fee and promise to fill in cards on the night. 2 June: Gippsland Flippers/Sale Sadasts meet
16 June: North Lodge meet
21 July: Casey Seals Splash
18 August: Frankston meet
Two more dates for your diary are the State Short Course on 5 August and State Relay Carnival on 22 September.
We will be sending reminders of the state meets, but it is always good to get entries in early so Jennie Bucknell and Gill O'Mara, who is joining Rosa and Jennie on the competition subcommittee, can work on relay teams.
All the best,
Competition subcommittee
